A24 has released a new trailer for its upcoming religious horror thriller HereticThe movie stars Ugo Grant and in the trailer we see him preparing a terrifying experience for two Mormon missionary nuns who are about to knock on his door.
The film follows two Mormon missionary sisters “who attempt to convert a man who turns out to be far more dangerous than they could have anticipated.”
The official synopsis reads: “Two young missionaries are forced to prove their faith when they knock on the wrong door and are taken in by a diabolical Mr. Reed, becoming trapped in his deadly game of cat and mouse.”
The film also stars Chloe East (The Fabelmans) AND Sophia Thatcher (yellow wasps) and it’s a film I’m curious to see.
I love that Hollywood has finally made a horror film about Mormon missionaries, and Grant apparently gives a great, scary performance that will be worth the price of admission.
The film comes from A quiet place writers Scott Beck AND Bryan’s Woodswho wrote the screenplay and will direct the film.
A24 will release Heretic in theaters November 15, 2024.
