COBRA KAI Star Jacob Bertrand Wants to Star in Netflix’s Live-Action ONE PIECE Series

Cobra Kai star Jacob Bertrand is a big fan of the Netflix live-action series A piece series, and he wants to be a part of that action! He doesn’t care how big a role he had, he just wants the experience of being on that show.

During a recent interview with GamesRadar+, Bertrand was asked about A pieceand he said, ‘Dude, I would literally play any role. I would be an extra who gets blown up by a boat. [laughs].

“Like, I don’t care. That show was sick. I grew up watching anime, especially Naruto AND A piece It’s what I grew up with. And, you know, it’s always been a weird thing to watch anime and now it’s becoming a lot more mainstream.

“And I’m like, you know what? In my day [if you liked] souls, you were an outcast. We were weirdos, we bled for it.”

I love how this young actor is like “back in my day”. No, I don’t think that kids who watched anime in the mid-2000s were outsiders. Anime was already very much ingrained in mainstream culture back then. At least that’s what I think: I’ve been an anime fan since the 90s.

She continued to talk about how more people are interested in anime now saying, “It’s awesome now, and I’m excited that more people are liking it. I’ve converted so many of my friends into weebs and now I can watch the shows. And yeah, I would love to play any role in One piece.

“That cast is so cool. I’ve met other casts before who were just shit and were total assholes. But the A piece cast, those are real people over there. They have big hearts.”

The actor also said that Cobra Kai that he had been “telling the writers for years to do a tournament story arc,” and that we might see one during Cobra Kai season 6 part 2.

Regarding Bertrand’s accession A pieceIt just seems like he would fit right in with that cast and that show!
