Prime Video has released the trailer for the upcoming crime thriller film titled Killer heatwhich is based on the story “The Jealous Man” by Jo Nesbo.
The film is accompanied by the tagline “Jealousy can take you to the edge.” It is also described as a “thrilling and contemporary film in a classic noir style” and stars Joseph Gordon Levitt AND by Shailene Woodley.
Killer heat follows private investigator Nick Bali (Gordon-Levitt), “an American expatriate in Greece, hired to investigate the alleged accidental death of young shipping magnate Leo Vardakis (Richard Madden) on the Greek island of Crete.
“The victim’s sister-in-law (Woodley) doesn’t believe the official police report. But what exactly happened and why? Despite the sun-drenched beauty of his exotic Mediterranean locale, Nick finds darkness at every turn: where the wealthy and powerful Vardakis family rules like gods, where jealousies run deep and anyone could be a suspect.”
While the film has a strong cast and looks beautifully shot, the story is an uninteresting and generic crime thriller. But it may be better than this trailer portrays it to be.
Killer heat It is directed by Côte d’Ivoire and Amazon will release it on Prime Video on September 26, 2024.
