Jason Momoa he has been accused of mistreating some members of the crew of his next film A Minecraft MovieRachell Marie Hofstetter, aka Valkyrae, one of the biggest YouTube streamers in the world, has a cameo in the upcoming Minecraft movie and has something to say about Momoa and what she witnessed on set.
According to Valkyrae, who has a cameo in the film, she didn’t have the best experience with Momoa while filming her scene, explaining that there was a “disappointing” moment when Momoa lashed out at the film crew.
In a recent interview with CB, Valkyrae said, “I just saw him mistreat some crew members, and it was pretty disappointing. It happened after a really intense scene, and it was a really emotional scene, so maybe he was still in character, I don’t know. But I was just surprised by how he treated some crew members.”
Valkyrae continued: “He was really mad at them because they didn’t do something right, it was like setting up the shot and stuff. And he was just mad. Really mad, and he was yelling. And so I was like, ‘Man, this is not a good work environment.’ I would not be happy working in these conditions.”
Who knows what was really going on, but Valkyrae was clearly not impressed with the actor’s behavior. Maybe Momoa was just having a bad day.
The description for A Minecraft Movie reads: “Welcome to the world of Minecraft, where creativity doesn’t just help you build – it’s essential to survival! Four misfits, Garrett ‘The Garbage Man’ Garrison, Henry, Natalie and Dawn, find themselves dealing with ordinary problems when they’re suddenly drawn through a mysterious portal into the Overworld: a bizarre, cubic wonderland that thrives on imagination.
“To get home, they must master this world (and protect it from evil creatures like Piglins and Zombies), while embarking on a magical quest with an unexpected and skilled craftsman, Steve (Black).
“Together, their adventure will challenge all five to be bold and reconnect with the qualities that make each of them uniquely creative… the same skills they need to thrive in the real world again.”
The film also stars Emma Myers (Wednesday), Danielle Brooks (The color purple), Sebastian Eugene Hansen (Only Mercy, Lisey’s Story), with My life is beautiful.
Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures will release the film only in theaters and IMAX in North America on April 4, 2025.
