Emma Corrin (Deadpool and Wolverine) AND Maika Monroe (Long legs) will star in the next fantasy film project 100 nights as a hero.
It is a period fantasy film based on the graphic novel by Isabella GreenbergAND Julia Jackman is set to direct the film. The film also stars pop star Charli XCX AND Nicolas Galitzine.
100 nights as a hero centers on a glamorous guest (Galitzine), “who arrives at a remote castle and the delicate dynamic between a neglectful husband, his innocent bride Cherry (Monroe) and their devoted maid Hero (Corrin) is thrown into disarray.
The comic’s description provides further details:
“In the empire of Migdal Bavel, Cherry is married to Jerome, an evil man who makes a diabolical bet with his friend Manfred: if Manfred can seduce Cherry in a hundred nights, he can have his castle and Cherry.
“But what Jerome doesn’t know is that Cherry is in love with her maid Hero. The two women hatch a plan: Hero, a member of the League of Secret Story Tellers, will distract Manfred by regale him with a mesmerizing tale every night for 100 nights, keeping him at bay. Those tales are beautifully rendered here, touching on themes of love and betrayal, loyalty and madness.’
The story is said to capture “hearts and minds, transporting them through a magical medieval world.”
Corrin and Monroe are both incredibly talented actors and I have no doubt that they will deliver great performances in this film.
