Adam Sandler announced that Good Gilmore 2 has kicked off production and shared a little behind-the-scenes photo to get fans excited.
The photo features Happy’s Boston Bruins jersey, and Sandler alludes to a scene from the original film in a caption with the image that reads, “It’s not over. In my opinion… we’re just getting started.”
Kyle Newa checks in (Murder Mystery) directs the sequel from a screenplay by Sandler and Tim Herlihy. There are no plot details for the film yet.
Sandler has previously spoken about the film, saying: “We’re going to do Good GilmoreThanks. It’s happening. We’re getting ready to shoot it in New Jersey. We start in a couple weeks.
“It’s nice. We worked really hard on the script. We didn’t want to disappoint anyone. People have been asking me about it for a long time. We’re really excited. We gave it our all. A lot of golfers are nice and will be a part of it.”
It will be interesting to see what kind of story the sequel tells, but it will be a lot of fun to see what all these characters are doing with their lives all these years later.
