A couple of months ago it was reported that Pom Klementieffwho played Mantis in Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, was said to be in talks to join James Gunn in the DCU as a character specific.
The actress said at the time that they were talking about “a specific character for her. I just want to continue working with James, so we’ll continue to look for ways to do that. Yes, we’ve talked about a specific character, but I can’t talk about that right now.”
According to Hollywood news site MTTSH, the character she is in talks for is Helena Bertinelli, aka The Huntress, although other roles are said to be under consideration.
It’s not hard to imagine Klementieff as Huntress. It seems like the kind of role she could easily slip into.
Last year, another rumor made the rounds online that DC Studios was developing a Korean-language film starring the Huntress as part of the DCU’s “Chapter 2,” and it was also reported that the South Korean director and screenwriter Mr. Jung Byung-gil (Action Boys, The Villain, Afterburn) was in talks to write and direct the film.
