Six years ago, actress (Beetle Juice, Stranger things) AND actor (Speed, John Wick) were making the rounds to promote their film Destination WeddingAt the time they revealed that 26 years earlier, when they had starred in by Francis Ford Coppola 1992 gothic horror film, Draculathe couple had actually, in a sense, gotten married for real. Ryder said:
“We actually got married in Dracula. No, I swear to God I think we’re married in real life. In that scene, Francis [Ford Coppola] he used a real Romanian priest[…] We shot the master and he did everything. So I think we’re married.”
It was a cute exchange where they reminisced about that experience and now they have another sweet detail about their personal lives that we can appreciate.
During a recent interview on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Ryder revealed that she still texts Reeves regularly, and “We always say who he is, even if it’s in the text. So on his birthday, I’m like, ‘Happy birthday, husband.’ And he’s like, ‘Hey, wife, I love you. KR 57. Every birthday, he says KR 57 or whatever his age is. He always has.”
They are just so cute. It would be a cute story if they ended up together. But for now, they will always have DraculaThe pair continued to act together in Destination Weddingas well as the 2006 film A dark scanner.
