The Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch Question the AGATHA ALL ALONG Team Can’t Answer: “I Just Can’t Answer That Question”

Wanda Maximoff/The Scarlet Witch lore has branched out with the upcoming Marvel series Agatha for lifewhich will tell the story of Agatha Harkness, who we met in WandaVision.

While Wanda is not expected to have a storyline in this show, some believe she will return in the next Vision series.

Wanda is clearly tied to Agatha’s story, but despite not appearing in this story, she is still closely associated, so much so that the creators of Agatha for life they’re definitely avoiding a question about Wanda.

During a recent press day, CinemaBlend asked Agatha for life creators if Wanda herself had ever traveled the Witches’ Road, and their answers were as evasive as one might imagine. Writer/Director Jac Schaefferwho also worked closely on WandaVision, and skirted around the question, saying:

“Let’s see how gracefully I can avoid that. Yeah, I can’t really answer that question. … What I love is that, you know, it speaks to the fact that the Witches’ Road is a huge part of the witch lore in what is the MCU witch world. That’s true.”

It makes sense that Wanda would have a connection to the Witches’ Road, because it will inevitably become clear that she is a vital part of a Marvel witch’s power cult. Marvel Studios executive producer Mary Livanos took the conversation a step further when asked about Wanda’s connection to the Witches’ Road, but she also tied it into the existing narrative from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnesssupporting:

“What I can tell you is that I think I’ve seen what everyone else has seen since Multiverse of Madness. It feels like Wanda has been completely shut out after her dealings with the Darkhold. So, definitely, this show is all about Agatha and her story. So fans will be excited to learn more about her.”

Marvel Studios executive producer Brad Winderbaum also told CinemaBlend:

“I think, without giving too much away, I think Agatha is a crucial chapter in the Wanda mythology. Okay. It’s an Agatha show. But if you’re a Wanda fan, you’re going to enjoy this next step.”

I’m so excited for this show! I’m a huge fan of Wanda and Agatha and can’t wait to see where the Witches’ Road takes them.
