FilmNation is launching a high-profile package of sales for the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) market this month with the dark and gripping heist comedy 4 children enter a bank.
Taken star and Oscar nominee Liam Neeson is in talks to lead the project alongside a number of fast-rising actors including Never Rarely Sometimes Always burst Talia Ryder, Noah Jupe (A quiet place), Whitney Peak (Gossip Girl), Jack Dylan Grazer (It, Look!) and the new arrival Deacon Phillippeson of Reese Witherspoon AND Ryan Phillippe.
Neeson will play former bank robber Danny, whose teenage niece Paige (Ryder) means everything to him. So when he hears that his former gang is dragging him in for another heist to pay off a debt, he comes up with the only logical solution: He enlists his three best friends, always up for anything, to rob the bank the day before so he doesn’t have to.
It will be directed by Francis Shaw (MILFA), and based on the graphic novel by Matthew Rosenberg AND Chief Tylerthe film was adapted from Matt Robinson with revisions by Francis Shaw.
FilmNation is launching international sales on the film ahead of the Toronto International Film Festival and next week’s market. This is still in the making and talent deals are still being finalized, so there’s always room for change, but for now buyers have an interesting project to consider at the TIFF market.
