Hulu’s Murder Mystery Comedy Series Only murders in the building has an incredible star cast that includes Steve Martin, Martin ShortAND Selena GomezThey have also been joined over the seasons by a host of great guest stars, including Tina Feythe recurring role of podcast guru Cindy Canning; Amy Ryan, My life is beautiful, Dear Delevingne, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Paul RuddHollywood star Ben Glenroy and his returning co-star Meryl Streep.
The upcoming fourth season continues the star-studded tradition of Eva Longoria, Eugenio LevyAND Zach Galifianakis will appear this season as themselves, actors who will play the roles of Mabel, Charles and Oliver respectively in an Only Murders film, while the series’ podcasting team is relocated to Hollywood.
So who else would the original three stars like to add to their roster in future seasons? We sat down with GamesRadar+ to answer that question, and after some initial hesitation from Martin Short, he said “there are a lot of wonderful actors” he’d love to see on the show.
Then Steve Martin got to work and gave them a name, starting with “Cate Blanchett.” Selena Gomez and Short nodded in agreement, with the latter exclaiming that he “loves” the Tar AND The Lord of the Rings star.
Martin then proposed the idea of My name is Ryan Reynolds.to which Martin replied, “that would be awesome.” I think Reynolds would be awesome in the series! He’s a fantastic comedian, and that show is the bomb. The first episode of season 4 is now streaming on Hulu.
