New STAR WARS: OUTLAWS Trailer Focuses on the Game’s Planets

Ubisoft has released a new trailer for the Star Wars video game Star Wars Outlawsand this focuses on the planets that players will visit in the game.

The video is accompanied by the following note: “Discover some of the worlds you’ll visit in Star Wars Outlaws, including Akiva, Toshara, Kijimi, and Tatooine, in this new trailer for Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment’s upcoming open-world single-player Star Wars adventure.”

The story is set between the events of The Empire Strikes Back AND Return of the Jedi. It is advertised as the first ever open-world game Star Wars game, and players will be able to explore different planets in the galaxy, both iconic and new.

The game centers around a Vess, voiced by Umberly Gonzalez. She is “an up-and-coming rogue seeking freedom and the means to start a new life, alongside her partner Nix. Fight, steal, and outwit the galaxy’s criminal syndicates as you join the galaxy’s most wanted.”

Creative Director Julian Gerighty spoke about the game’s premise, saying: “In search of true freedom, enterprising Kay and Nix will travel across the Underworld and the Outer Rim, accepting jobs from labor syndicates, facing intimidating enemies, avoiding oppressive Imperial rule, and recruiting a skilled band of outlaws to pull off one of the greatest heists the galaxy has ever seen.”

Vice President of Lucasfilm Games Dr. Douglas Reilly added: “The Outlaws of Star Wars invites fans to experience a side of the galaxy that has yet to be explored: the exploits of the scoundrels who exploit the Golden Age of the Underworld. We were inspired by Massive Entertainment’s dedication to bringing this aspect of Star Wars to life, including both iconic and new things for fans to explore in an open world.”

The game will be coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Ubisoft Connect on August 30. If you purchase the Gold Edition or Ultimate Edition of OutlawYou will be granted early access three days in advance, on August 27th.
