Here’s some exciting Marvel casting news for you! Marvel Studios is bringing back James Sword to play Ultron in the next Vision series!
Spader was great as Ultron, so it’s pretty cool to know he’ll be returning to voice the evil AI robot for a new story. He originally played the character in the 2015 Marvel film Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Spader joins Paul Bettanywho reprises his role as Vision, the android who formed a strong bond with Scarlett Witch and was later destroyed by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War.
There is a really interesting story for Vision that has been created in the MCU. After being murdered by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity Warhe came back for WandaVision in two forms.
Vision was a spectral creation of Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) through his pain, and he too was rebuilt as a white android with no memory of his past life.
By the end of WandaVisionAfter the two Visions clashed, Wanda’s version of Vision gave her memories to the new white version, and he simply flew away after that. This new series will explore what happened to Vision after those events.
The series doesn’t have an official title yet, but it’s been called Vision Quest. It will explore the white Vision’s search for a new purpose in life. It will be interesting to see how Ultron ends up being a factor in the story and what kind of relationship he has with Vision.
Ultron was a sentient being created by Tony Stark to serve as a defense program, but ended up turning against humanity. Ultron then created his own sentient being, Vision, to help destroy the human race. But that didn’t go as planned and he ended up helping the Avengers defeat Ultron.
The series is developed by Star Trek: Picard executive producer Terry Matalas will serve as showrunner on the project.
How do you think Ultra will be used in the story?
