Kevin Costner’s HORIZON: AN AMERICAN SAGA – CHAPTER 1 Coming to Max

The first chapter of Kevin Costnerepic western, Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 1 will be available for streaming exclusively on Max starting Friday, August 23.

If you haven’t seen the movie on the big screen, your chance to stream it at home is coming soon. This is one of those big, sweeping movies that needed to be seen on the big screen, but unfortunately, the movie flopped at the box office, which is sad.

Horizon: An American Saga chronicles “a multifaceted, 15-year span of expansion and settlement of the American West before and after the Civil War. Told through the eyes of many, the epic journey is fraught with danger and intrigue, from the constant assault of the elements to interactions with the indigenous peoples who lived on the land and the determination and, in many cases, ruthlessness of those who sought to settle it.”

Costner has previously spoken about the story, saying, “It’s a really beautiful story; it’s a tough story. It really does involve a lot of women, to be honest. There are a lot of men in it, too, but the women are really strong in Horizon. It’s just them trying to get by every day in a world that was incredibly tough.

“They were often [dragged] in these places because that’s where the men wanted to go; the women followed their men. They didn’t ask to be in these territories that were unstable and dangerous, and life wasn’t easy. I chose to make sure that it was really obvious, that it wasn’t easy, and how vulnerable people were.”

The film also has a fantastic cast which includes Siena Miller, Sam Worthington, Jamie Campbell’s Bower, Luke Wilson, Thomas Haden Church, Jena Malone, Michael Rooker, Alexander Edda, It will be PattonAND Tatanka means.

Costner is still planning a total of four films in this saga. The second film does not currently have a release date and Costner is currently filming the third film.
