Netflix has released the trailer for a new Korean thriller titled The frogand it looks like an interesting and intense film.
The story revolves around “people whose peaceful lives are disrupted and thrown into uncontrollable incidents by a mysterious guest who arrives in the middle of summer.”
The teaser opens with the arrival of mysterious guest Seong-a at a quiet retirement home in the woods. As she unsettles the owner, Young-ha, by going insane over the murders, he tries to find out who she is and what her motives are.
The trailer asks the question: “If a tree falls in the forest and there’s no one around to hear it, does it still make a sound?”
The film was directed by Mo Wan-il (The world of married people), and has as protagonists Kim Yun Seok (Noryang: Deadly Sea, Escape from Mogadishu), Mr. Yoon Kye-sang (The Outlaws), Lee Jung Eun (Parasite, daily dose of sun) AND Ko Min-si (Sweet home). Chan-yeol Park A song by K-pop boy band EXO also appears.
The Frog is scheduled to be released on Netflix on August 23.
