Spoiler-filled rumors claim five Marvel actors have been drafted to return for AVENGERS: SECRET WARS

A new spoiler-filled rumor has emerged, adding to the fan theories shared over the past few weeks since Marvel held its news-packed panel at San Diego Comic-Con.

The biggest news of the convention was that the next Avengers movies would have Russian Brothers to return to direct, and they chose by Robert Downey Jr. to play the role of Doctor Doom.

Because we will be playing in the multiverse for Avengers: Judgment Day (2026) and Avengers: Secret Wars (2027), we’re all expecting to see some of our old favorite characters return, but this new report claims to know the top five who have signed on.

According to industry “scooper” @MyTimeToShineH (via CBM), Tobey Maguire (Spider-Man), Chris Evans (Captain America/Human Torch), Nicola’s Cage (Ghost Knight), Wesley Snipe (Blade), and Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow) have allegedly agreed to return to the MCU for Avengers: Secret Wars.

Who knows if it’s true, but it could very well be! Marvel Studios has taken the next two Avengers film in a different direction from then Jonathan Major has been ousted from the MCU’s Kang the Conqueror. While that villain’s story may yet be wrapped up in some form, Robert Downey Jr. will step into the role of Doctor Doom to play the Multiverse Saga’s next big bad.

Despite this major change, the plots of both films will likely remain largely the same. Based on past rumors, an Incursion will see Earth-616 and Earth-100005 collide, with a new “Battleworld” created afterwards that is composed of the remains of those and other destroyed worlds.
