A24 has released a new trailer for its upcoming horror thriller The front roomwhich tells the story of a young mother who finds herself clashing with her perverse and evil mother-in-law.
The front room is about a young couple who have just gotten pregnant and agree to take in a sick and separated stepmother, which turns out to be the worst thing they could have done. Brandy is the protagonist of the film and Kathryn’s Hunter plays the “meanest mother-in-law of all.”
The synopsis reads: “Everything goes to pieces for newly pregnant Belinda (Brandy) after her mother-in-law (Hunter) moves in with her. As the diabolical guest tries to get his claws into the baby, Belinda has to draw the line somewhere…”
The front room It is written and directed by Max Egger (co-author of The Lighthouse) AND Sam Eggers (Author)They are the director’s brothers Roberto Egger (The Witch, The Lighthouse, The Man from the North, Nosferatu) and worked with him in some of those films.
The film also stars Andrea Burnap AND Neal Huff. It will be released in theaters on September 6, 2024.
