Deadpool and Wolverine It was the first Marvel movie rated R, and it kept the rating. With over 100 swear words, and all the over-the-top violence and sex jokes, Hugh JackmanDivorce, cocaine and more, it’s been a very eventful journey!
Director by Shawn Levi and star My name is Ryan Reynolds. Both spoke enthusiastically about how happy they were with the freedom the studio had given them to go as far as they wanted, but apparently there was one joke that was a bit too much.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Levy explained:
“The general rule is to never hit low and only make fun of people who can make fun of it. Certainly, when it came to Hugh in a meta way, Hugh was always the first one to laugh out loud. There was only one line in the whole movie that we were asked to change. We made a pact, Ryan and I, to go to the grave with that line, but I have to say it was replaced with an equally filthy line of dialogue about Pinocchio sticking his face in Deadpool’s ass and starting to lie like a madman. I was like, ‘Ryan, that is your replacement line in response to “Can we fix this?” This is Ryan Reynolds, bold to the core.”
This is Ryan Reynolds and Deadpool style! The movie was awesome and the jokes were very funny. Although I’m curious to know which joke didn’t make the cut, I’m happy with the final result. Deadpool and Wolverine is now in cinemas all over the world.
