TED LASSO co-creator Bill Lawrence says season 4 will be entirely up to Jason Sudeikis

Ted Lasso It was one of my all time favorite shows. It was so sweet and funny, and after three seasons, it ended way too soon.

Fans hoped the show would continue, but the star and co-creator Jason Sudeikis He made it clear that he intended to make a three-season long story.

There has been talk of possible spin-offs, and the series finale left many possibilities open, but we haven’t heard anything else – until now.

Co-creator Bill Lawrence talked about a possible fourth season of the sports comedy-drama, and told Collider that it will all depend on Jason Sudeikis:

“Whatever Jason feels like doing and whatever he decides, we’re all on board with it. Not only is he the star, he’s the head writer, and he’s also the guy whose life has to be completely turned upside down and moved to a foreign country with little kids. It’s a big deal. So as a fan, if someone says, ‘Oh, it’s going to happen again,’ I go nuts. As a partner, I’m on board with whatever he wants to do.”

Ted Lassowhich ran for three seasons on Apple TV+, concluded its run in 2023. In June of this year, Warner Bros. TV chief Channing Dungey discussed the possibility of a fourth season of the series or a spin-off set in Ted Lasso universe.

“I think Jason Sudeikis is open to the idea, but I think he wants to have the right idea, which I appreciate. We at Warner Bros. appreciate that, Apple appreciates that, because it’s the kind of thing where you don’t want to go and do more, just for the sake of doing more, you want to go and do more, because you actually have something to say, you have a story that you want to tell. We’ll see what happens.”
