Netflix has revealed the trailer and release date for the upcoming series Adam Sandler special, Adam Sandler: I Love Youwhich was directed by Josh Safdie.
This is Sandler’s first stand-up comedy special since 2018. 100% freshand reunites him with Josh Safdie, who directed Sandler in the drama Raw Gems along with his brother Benny. This is Safdie’s directorial debut for a comedy special.
I love you is the latest in a series of collaborations between Sandler and Safdie. The comedy legend also starred in the Safdie brothers’ 2020 short “Goldman v. Silverman” and is set to lead an upcoming feature film set in the world of sports memorabilia that will be directed by Josh and produced by Benny, although the latter said Variety in January that the film was “on hiatus”.
Sandler also has a long history of working with Netflix, which premiered his animated musical about lizards in 2023. Leo and the Jewish comedy of formation You are not invited to my Bat Mitzvah at all.in which he starred alongside his real-life wife and daughters.
Sandler’s other films for Netflix include the 2024 AstronautTHE Murder Mystery movie with Jennifer Anistonthe basketball drama Feverish activityand the ghostly favorite Hubie’s Halloween.
