The first reactions to Eli Roth’S Borderlands They’ve taken over social media, and they’re not good. I honestly didn’t expect this movie to be good because Roth isn’t exactly the best director, so these reactions aren’t that surprising.
The film is described as a “complete mess”, “a disaster”, “unwatchable” and “uninspired”. This is a shame because it could have been a great film if the studio had actually hired the right creative talent.
So, I guess if you plan on watching this movie at some point, don’t expect it to be good! Read the reactions below and let us know what you think.
Borderlands looks like what some out-of-touch executive thinks the “cool kids” find attractive. There’s not a single moment of sincerity here, just obnoxious one-liners that sound dated as soon as they come out of the actors’ mouths. It’s not even that bad, it’s good, just a complete mess. photo.twitter.com/M7WCc1cUj3

BORDERLANDS is a disaster. Filled with every cliché you can think of, this film trades the chaos and imagination of the games for a lifeless, unfunny, visually repulsive flop with annoying characters and a cast without a shred of chemistry.

BORDERLANDS is nearly unwatchable. The violence is bland and uninspired, the chemistry is nonexistent, and the story trajectory is both boring and painfully obvious. I had zero expectations for this and yet I was somewhat disappointed. #BorderlandsFilm

1960-1969, Author: Kurt Morrison #Top5FilmDiveAs predictable as movies may be these days, #BorderlandsFilm it’s borderline unwatchable. The social media embargo has been lifted and I can say that #BorderlandsFilm It has a level of detail that is exceptional for anyone who has played the video games, but I don’t know if that’s enough to stop people from accusing it of being a rip-off of Guardians of the Galaxy. photo.twitter.com/PiShS2NVyC

Oh hey I can tell you I saw #BorderlandsFilm now and that is really bad. I really wanted to like it, but an uninspired plot + several poorly done performances + being stuck in a weird place where it feels both expensive and cheap at the same time make it a huge failure. photo.twitter.com/nek6r0CuTm

#BorderlandsFilm It’s a disconcerting video game adaptation. There’s potential for great world-building, but it never happens due to a rushed and boring script; the production design is impressive but the film looks cheap due to poor CGI.
