A trailer has been released for the Netflix original animated film, Enchantedwith the great voice cast of Rachel Zegler, John Lithgow, Parenting, Nathan’s Lane, Titus Burgess, Javier Bardem AND Nicole Kidman.
The film features songs written by the music legend Alan Menken (The beauty and the Beast, The little Mermaid) AND Dr. Glenn Slater (Tangled up).
Spellbound is directed by story artist/director actressco-director of Little Shrek AND Shark storyfrom a screenplay written by Lauren Hynek, Elizabeth Martin and Julia Miranda.
“Spellbound follows the adventures of Ellian, the tenacious young daughter of the rulers of Lumbria who must embark on a courageous quest to save her family and her kingdom after a mysterious spell transforms her parents into monsters.”
This reminds me a lot of one of my favorite Disney movies, Bravein which Merida must find a way to return her mother to her original state after she transformed into a bear.
It looks like the film could be a fun new take on the idea. Check out the trailer below and see Enchanted on Netflix on November 22.
