Jordan Peele Relaunches Hidden Camera Comedy Horror Show SCARE TACTICS

Jordan Peele is producing a reboot of Scary Tacticsthe hidden-camera horror comedy show that airs on the SyFy channel.

The series previously ran for five seasons; this new series has been greenlit by USA Network and will launch later this fall.

Scary Tactics will transform “unsuspecting individuals into the main characters of their own horror films. Created by their friends and family, these unsuspecting participants are placed into twisted scenarios with fully immersive stories that blur the lines between reality, horror and comedy as they face one unreal decision after another.”

Corie HensonEVP, Unscripted Content, NBCUniversal Entertainment said in a statement: “As one of the most visionary creators working today, there is nothing Jordan Peele can’t do.

“We are honored to be making our first non-scripted series together. This brilliant reimagining of the classic Scary Tactics It has it all: laughs, sudden scares and outrageous moments. In the hands of Jordan and Monkeypaw, you never know what’s going to happen next.”

Win Rosenfeld, President of Monkeypaw Productions, added: “We are so grateful to Monkeypaw for helping to reimagine one of our all-time favorite hidden camera shows. Working with showrunner Elan Gale, one of the most creative and mischievous minds in unscripted television, and Scott Hallock, the brilliant creator of the original Scary tactics, It was an absolute blast.

“It’s cathartic and hilarious to see people get a little scared, and the scenarios we’ve cooked up for this season are truly insane. We can’t wait to share some lighthearted schadenfreude with audiences soon.”

The series was originally produced by Scott Hallock, who serves as executive producer through his WMTI Productions, which owns the format. Peele, Win Rosenfeld and Jamal Watson serve as executive producers for Monkeypaw.

Galley of momentum (The Bachelor, FBoy Island, Midnight MassAND The Midnight Club) is showrunner and executive producer.
