Morgan Freeman and Luke Hemsworth Star in Action Thriller GUNNER Trailer

A new trailer has been released for the action thriller Gunnerstarring Luke Hemsworth AND Morgan Freemanwith Barry Jay Minoff, Treat yourself to Feely, Connor DeWolfe, Joseph Baena, Sean Rogers, Gary Wood, By Mykel Shannon Jenkins, Julia ClassAND Maurizio P. Kerry.

The film is directed by Dimitri Logothetes (Pretty smart, the closest, the body shot), from a screenplay co-written by Dimitri Logothetes AND by Gary Scott Thompson.

The film’s synopsis reads: “War veteran Colonel Lee Gunner (Luke Hemsworth) takes his two sons on a camping trip with their Uncle Jon, to reunite with them after so long away at the front.

“The trip goes awry when Jon trips on a tripwire and triggers an explosion, alerting a violent biker gang to the midst of a massive drug bust.

“Not anticipating Gunner’s elite combat skills, the gang members are picked off one by one. The boys try to go get help, but end up right in the arms of Dobbs, the son of gang boss Kendric Ryker, who runs the entire organization from prison.

“With no one to turn to but himself, an enraged Gunner wreaks havoc to save his two children, until he reaches the top and confronts Ryker.”

At first glance, it looked like yet another action movie churned out in a long series of mediocre stories, but after watching the entire trailer, it actually seems like a step forward.

The action is decent, and Freeman and Hemsworth are good enough actors to take it to the next level. Watch the trailer below and see Gunner when it will be released Direct to VOD on August 16th.
