When Top Gun: The Legend Continues became a huge success, we all knew that Paramount Pictures and Tom Cruise They would like to make a third film, but it’s something they’re in no rush to do.
Producer Jerry Bruckheimer previously spoke about Top Gun 3 saying, “We spent time with him. We have a history. Joe Kosinski he had a wonderful idea for the story, and he [Tom Cruise] He said I really like it, so we’re developing it.”
Just because they have a story, though, the film is not ready for production at all. The producer previously, “We had preliminary material. We’re not there yet. [There’s] ways to proceed.”
Now, Mr. Glen Powell shared a very brief update on the film. During an interview with the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Powell was asked about Top Gun 3and all he said was, ‘I mean, I have a date.’
So, there is a start date for the project, but the actor doesn’t reveal any other information.
Paramount has been hired Top Gun: The Legend Continues co-author My Kruger to work on a script for the sequel and the studio also hopes that Joseph Kosinski will return to the cockpit for the project.
Cruise will return and will also be joined by Thousands of Tellers.
