THE ACOLYTE Star Manny Jacinto Shares His Thoughts on the Backlash to the STAR WARS Series

The last one Star Wars series The Acolyte It managed to divide fans in many different ways and the series received a strong and strong reaction, which was bombarded with negative reviews.

The show’s evil star, Manny Jacintorecently spoke to GQ about the series and shared his thoughts on the backlash and Star Wars fans.

Jacinto explained, “It’s a cycle. With everything that’s come out of the original trilogy, there’s always a very passionate group that doesn’t like change, that wants the same feeling that they had when they were a kid, only now they’ve grown up and their taste has matured and they’re more critical of art or the world, and then they’re just more precious to the things that they experienced when they were younger.”

He believes that in a few years the series will appeal to an ever-increasing number of fans, just like the prequel trilogy films did.

She continued: “Looking at it through that lens is really helpful. And it sucks that sometimes you have to wait 10, 20, 30 years to get your flowers. But the fact that a lot of people are enjoying it right now, I think that’s all I can focus on right now.

“It might take a little while to convince other people to participate, but in the end I’m really proud of what we’ve accomplished.”

Only time will tell if that will happen. But it seems like Jacinto really understands the Star Wars fandom and why they feel this way about the series.

When previously it was spoken of Star Wars fans, showrunners Leslye Promontory he said: “Everyone knows what review bombing means. Actually when the show first came out, my publicist was like, ‘OK, with the review…’ And I said, ‘Is anyone still taking this seriously?’

“I understand the point, that the average visitor would look at the site and say, ‘Oh, the user review is really low.’ But I think, if you’re in the Star Wars fandom, I think you already know what review bombing means.”

She continued, “So I guess if you’re totally new to the fandom and you’re thinking about watching the show, it might affect you. But I also think my work in the past has been very word-of-mouth anyway, so I don’t know if… I think because, behind the scenes, we all know what it is — it’s not that it’s not concerning — but I think it’s pretty predictable. I would say.”

This was one of the Star Wars shows that it was difficult for me to watch and, like others, I will most likely never watch it again.
