Fantastic new special on ALIEN: ROMULUS with more new footage

20th Century Studios has released a new behind-the-scenes special for the upcoming sci-fi horror film Alien: RomulusIt was also announced that tickets are now on sale.

The video introduces the director Faith Alvarez, Cailee Spaenyand speaking of the movie, it offers more insight into the story and characters. It also includes a good amount of new footage! I’m excited for this movie and I think Alvarez will give us a great Alien movie.

The film follows “a group of young people on a distant world who find themselves confronted by the most terrifying life form in the universe.”

Speaking about the film, the director said: “My first instinct, just to try something different that hadn’t been seen before, was to approach it from the point of view of characters who are not professionals or scientists; they’re not even adults.

“I liked this concept of putting the people who are closest to what the audience is at the forefront of the story: not that the audience is young, but that the audience is completely unfamiliar with the realities of space.

“When the characters are professionals, they know more than you do. But when they’re still in their twenties, they don’t know how to work the fucking airlock.”

The film also stars Isabella Mercedwhich is also joined Archie Renaux (Shadow and bone), Spike Fear (After sun), and the new arrival Aileen Wu.

Alvarez directs the film from a script he wrote himself. Rodo Sayagues. Ridley Scott he is also a producer of the film together with Michael Pruss (Boston Strangler) for Scott Free, with Brent O’Connor (High speed train), Elizabeth Cantillon (Persuasion) AND Tom Moran (The King of Donuts) as executive producers.

Alien: Romulus will hit theaters on August 16th!
