In the comics, Deadpool is depicted as pansexual, meaning he makes no distinction between gender or gender identity when choosing a romantic partner.
This is something that some fans have been interested in seeing represented on the big screen. The first two films didn’t play with this aspect much, as Wade Wilson’s primary relationship was with Vanessa.
Well, in a recent interview with Variety, My name is Ryan Reynolds. asked if there is “chemistry or sexual tension” between Deadpool and Wolverine in the upcoming Marvel film.
Reynolds responded by saying, “I can’t speak for Wolverine, but I feel like Deadpool has sexual tension with everything and everyone.” Hugh Jackman then he interjected, “Don’t deny that this is special.”
To this, Reynolds said, “There’s a…you’re right. I feel it right now. My God, like two magnets pointing in the wrong direction.”
Director by Shawn Levi then he jumped in to quickly clarify: “Wade is a Wolverine fan. Drive [Wolverine] crazy on and off screen. But there’s a reverence. There’s a fanboy love.”
So, that’s the best answer you’re going to get. I’m just excited to see the story of these two characters in Deadpool and Wolverine! It looks like the creative team behind this has managed to create something special, and I can’t wait to get started!
We’ve been told that fans will “lose their minds… ten billion times” watching this movie, and I don’t know about you, but losing my mind is exactly what I need right now to feel a little sane.
