Showtime’s prequel series Dexter: Original Sin added nine recurring cast members to the first season roster, including Emmy winner Joe Pantoliano (The Sopranos), Brittany Allen (The boys), Randy Gonzalez (Bloodline), Aaron Jennings (Pure genius), Raquel Justice (One day at a time), Jason Lewis (V/C/S), Charles Mendes (The bay), Isaac Gonzalez Rossi (This is Love) AND Roberto Sanchez (Royal Palm).
The original 10-episode drama series is set in Miami in 1991 and follows Dexter (Patrick Gibson), a student who hones his killer skills with the help and support of his adoptive father Harry (Christian Slater).
In his father, he finds comfort and understanding, especially when his bloodthirsty urges grow and can no longer be ignored. As his only confidant, Harry teaches Dexter a code that is designed to help him find and kill the people who deserve to die, all while avoiding capture by law enforcement.
This is a particular challenge for young Dexter, who is starting a forensic internship with the Miami Metropolitan Police Department.
Pantoliano plays Mad Dog; Allen plays Dexter’s biological mother, Laura Moser; Gonzalez plays Santos Jimenez; Jennings plays Clark Sanders; Justice plays Sofia; Lewis plays Dexter’s adoptive mother and Harry’s wife, Doris Morgan; Mendez plays Hector Estrada; Gonzalez Rossi plays Gio; and Sanchez plays Tony Ferrer.
The previously announced cast also includes Molly Brown, James Martinez, Cristina MilianRhine The Wilson, Alex Shimizu, Patrick Dempsey AND Sarah Michelle GellerProduction is currently underway in Miami with Clyde Phillips at the helm.
