Netflix has released a full trailer for the fourth and final season of its action-adventure series The Umbrella Academy.
The Hargreeves brothers will finish the job they started and have one last chance to save the world. This time, they are joined by Nick’s Offerwho will play an important role in the next chapter of the story.
In the final season, “The Hargreeves siblings are scattered after the showdown at Hotel Oblivion leads to a complete reset of their timeline. Stripped of their powers, each is left to fend for themselves and find a new normal, with varying degrees of success.
“Yet the trappings of their mysterious new world prove too difficult to ignore for long. Their father Reginald, alive and well, has stepped out of the shadows and into the public eye, overseeing a powerful and nefarious business empire.
“A mysterious organization known as The Keepers holds clandestine meetings believing that the reality they live in is a lie and that a great reckoning is imminent.
“As these strange new forces conspire around them, the Umbrella Academy must reunite one last time, risking the shaky peace they’ve all worked so hard to secure, to finally set things right.
The Umbrella Academy Season 4 will see the return of Elliot’s Page like Viktor, Tom’s Hopper, Emmy Raver Lampman like Allison, Robert Sheehan like Klaus, Davide Castañeda like Diego, Aidan Gallagher like Number Five, Justin H. Min like Ben, Ritu Arya like Lila, and Colm Feore like Reginald.
New cast members include David Cross, Nick’s OfferAND Megan MullallyThere are also characters from the third season including Justin Cornwell (I am the night) like Marcus, Britne Old (Hunters) like Fei, Jake Epstein (Clothes) like Alfonso, Genesis Rodriguez (Big Hero 6) like Sloane, and Damn David as Jayme, plus an existential-dread-inducing Psykronium Cube in the role of Christopher.
The final season was “largely written” by the series’ showrunner Steve Blackman and returned to the series to close it out.
Blackman said in a statement: “I’m so thrilled that the incredibly loyal fans of The Umbrella Academy will get to experience a fitting conclusion to the Hargreeves brothers’ journey that began five years ago. But before we get to that conclusion, we have an incredible story in store for season four, one that will keep fans on the edge of their seats until the final minutes.”
The series finale will consist of only 6 episodes and will debut on August 8, 2024.
