The Fantastic Four: First Steps It will introduce Marvel’s first family in the main temporal sequence of the MCU. Also bring the cosmic Galactus of the maximum weights to the party! But the big question in everyone’s mind is: why this version of the earth? Why now?
Well, a new teaser has just revealed the reason and confirms a rumor that has made the tour. It turns out that Galactus has set his eyes on Earth not because he is mature for destruction, but because of Reed Richards and his Storm’s Child, Franklin Richards.
In the teaser, the team brought in front of Galactus from the Silver Surfer. It continues to reveal the huge setting of the villain, but it is hidden in the shade for most of this scene before it arrives on Earth and completely comes out of the shadows.
The movie also shows Reed Richards who tells the press that in exchange for the earth, Galactus asked for his son Franklin. Mr. Fantastic told them that it is too high a price, something that the citizens of the planet feel understandably differently.
If you are not familiar with Franklin Richards, it is absurdly powerful. Was presented in Fantastic Four Annual #6 in 1968 and is a mutant at the level of a universe, which is shot of the universe, which, at most potential, could compete with cosmic beings such as eternity.
Galactus sees Franklin as a potential source of infinite food. Franklin’s ability to create pocket universes and new worlds essentially makes it the version of Galactus of a personal chef. And Galactus is hungry.
Before Galactus was Galactus, it was Galan, who survived the universe that existed before the current one. After joining the sensitivity of the universe, Bang post-Big as a insatiable hunger being, one who requires the energy of entire planets to survive, re-emerged.
In comics, it is not evil, it is elemental and necessary, when it sends its heralds such as Silver Surfer or Shalla-Bal to the Scout planets, it is not personal. It is survival.
The Four Four of the MCU promise themselves as a story about parenting, power and survival on a galactic scale. It will be interesting to see how the arch of the history of Galactus ends up playing and if in reality it ends up sweeping away this land inspired by the 1960s, making the fantastic four jump the realities in the creation of Earth-616 Avengers: Doomsday in 2026.
