Deadpool and Wolverine star My name is Ryan Reynolds. has given high praise to Marvel’s upcoming film, saying it is the best film he has ever made.
During an interview with Sky News, the actor said: “In the end, I’m so happy with it. It’s the best film I’ve ever done.”
He continued saying: “He [Shawn Levy] and I had more fun than we’ve ever had making a movie. I love making movies that bring real joy, and the foundation of that is friendship. Every emotional aspect of the movie, I love it.”
Levy previously expressed his excitement for the film, saying that Marvel fans will lose their minds “ten billion” times while watching it.
Levy excitedly said, “There will be moments that the audience will love, but I will also say there will be moments where they will lose their minds, like ten billion times that. Which is not a number, but I’m using it for hyperbole.”
Levy goes on to say that fans and audiences will also have to see the Marvel movie more than once, because they will laugh so hard that they will probably miss some of the dialogue.
The director said: “There are some moments in this film where if you can even hear the dialogue over the laughter, then we’ve failed.
“We addressed this in the editing room, when I said to Ryan that every time we show a certain scene, you can’t hear the three lines because the audience is still laughing at the previous line.
“Whenever we had this very brotherly debate, Ryan usually won. He was like, ‘Great, they’re going to have to watch the movie again!'”
The film is set six years after the events of PersonagesWade has hung up his uniform, is no longer dating Vanessa, and seems content with his job as a used car salesman.
While celebrating his birthday with friends, agents of the Time Variance Authority tear Wade from his reality and take him to meet their boss, Mr. Paradox, who informs Deadpool that a greater destiny awaits him.
This is the beginning of a grand adventure in the multiverse with Wolverine!
The confirmed cast for the film also includes Hugh Jackman, Emma Corrin like Cassandra Nova, Morena Baccarin AND Stefan Kapicic like Vanessa and Colossus, Matthew Macfadyen as a TVA agent, and Leslie Uggams like Blind Al.
They join them Brianna Hildebrand AND Shioli Kutsunawho will also return to the franchise as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Negasonic Teenage Warhead’s girlfriend, Yukio. It was previously confirmed that actress Jennifer Garner will return in the film as Electra.
Deadpool and Wolverine will hit theaters on July 26th!
