SUPERGIRL: THE WOMAN OF TOMORROW According to rumors, she would like to bring Jason Momoa

DC Studios is currently developing the film Supergirl: The Woman of the Future with Craig Gillespie (Cruella AND I, Tonya) set to direct, Ana Nogueira write the script, James Gunn producing, and Milly Alcock (House of the Dragon) who will play Kara Zor-El.

Now, a new report from scooper Daniel Richtman claims that the production team is looking to move forward Jason MomoaThe role he would play was not mentioned, but “he looks a lot like Lobo.”

Momoa has been rumored for a while now that he will be playing Lobo in the DCU, and he himself has teased the idea. So if that’s true, it looks like Lobo will be making his debut in Supergirl: The Woman of the FutureBut, for now, there is nothing confirmed.

It was previously reported that the project was looking for actors to play the villainous Krem of the Yellow Hills, a male between the ages of 25 and 45, and Kara Zor-El’s ally Ruthye Marye Knoll, who is between the ages of 13 and 16.

It was previously explained that the film is “based on King TomThe wonderful comic series that came out just last year… This is a very different kind of Super Girl.”

In this film, “we see the difference between Superman who was sent to Earth and raised by loving parents from the time he was a baby, and the super girl who was raised on a sliver of rock on Krypton and watched everyone around her die and be killed in terrible ways for the first 14 years of her life, and then came to Earth as a young girl and is much more hardcore. That’s not exactly the Supergirl we’re used to seeing.”

In that King comic book story: “Kara Zor-El has seen some epic adventures over the years, but now she finds her life has no meaning or purpose. Here she is, a young woman who saw her planet destroyed and was sent to Earth to protect a newborn cousin who ultimately no longer needed her. What was it all for?”

Everywhere she goes, “people see her only through the lens of Superman’s fame. Just when Supergirl thinks she’s had enough, everything changes. An alien girl seeks her out on a cruel mission. Her world has been destroyed and the bad guys responsible are still out there.”

She wants revenge, “and if Supergirl won’t help her, she will do it herself, no matter the cost. Now a Kryptonian, a dog and an angry, heartbroken child set off into space on a journey that will shake them to the core.”

Woman of Tomorrow It will be the second DCU film to be released in theaters after Gunn’s SupermanWarner Bros. recently announced that the film is scheduled for release on June 26, 2026.
