A new promotional video for the upcoming horror film has been released Long legsThe promotion is titled “Heartbeat” and focuses on the first time Maika Monroe saw Nicholas Cage like the serial killer in the movie.
The crew recorded his heart rate while filming this scene in the movie and his heart rate hit 170 bpm when he watched Cage’s Longlegs. That’s pretty crazy!
Monroe said of the experience: “When I walked in and saw Nicolas Cage as Longlegs, it was a visceral experience that I will never forget.”
You can see the footage of the scene below, which hides Cage’s appearance in the film. But Monroe’s reaction says it all. I’m excited for this film! It’s been a long time since I’ve watched a horror film that scared me.
Maybe Longlegs will actually deliver the terror. Maybe this will be the “scariest movie of the decade.”
In the story, “As the case takes complex turns, uncovering evidence of the occult, Harker discovers a personal connection to the ruthless killer and must race against time to stop him before he kills another innocent family.”

Cage added: “It’s the equivalent of putting a warning label on a jar of nitroglycerin. The monster is a highly, highly dangerous substance. How it’s moved, how it’s unveiled, how it’s deployed has to be handled very carefully.

The film will be released on July 12, 2024.
