Paul Reiser Confirms He’ll Return as The Legend in THE BOYS’ Final Season

Icon of comedy of the 80s and 90s Paolo Riser confirmed that he will reprise his role as The Legend in the fifth and final season of The boys.

The Legend is a recurring character in the series, introduced in the show’s third season. He was the senior vice president of hero management for Vought American, the predecessor to Madelyn Stillwell, and the one who established the job’s greatest responsibility…covering Vought’s “heroes.”

He would eventually be “backstabbed” by both Stan Edgar and Madelyn Stillwell, resulting in his retirement and the latter taking over his role in the company.

While the actor believes he will appear, he doesn’t know what’s in store for him, or what role he’ll play in the final season.

Reiser said in an interview with CB: “Yeah, there’s been talk about it. I think they’re writing something for me. It was a lot of fun, it’s not my kind of show, and, as you know, I’ve told my son, who’s now writing these Marvel Aliens comics…

“But when I was offered the role on The Boys, not only hadn’t seen it, I hadn’t heard of it, and I said, ‘Hey, do you know anything about this show The Boys? They want you to be on it. What do you know about it?’

“He says, ‘Oh, this is great, and you’re going to hate it.’ And I’m like, ‘Why would I hate him?’ And he’s like, ‘Oh, just look.’ And I remember looking at it and thinking, ‘Oh, wow, this is way over the top.’

“But quickly, I saw that they’re not just exaggerating it for the sake of it, that’s the point; it’s so over-the-top and graphic and funny and smart. And the role was so much fun. I was like, ‘What’s that guy’s name?’ And he’s like, ‘The Legend,’ and I was like, ‘sold out.'”

It’s great to see that Reiser is excited to be back on the show! He’s great at everything he does, and this was a fun role for him to play. It’ll be interesting to see what they do with his arc.
