Barry AND Gotham actor Anthony Carrigan has joined the cast of Peacock’s Twisted metal Season 2 and will be a regular character in the next chapter of the story.
Carrigan will take on the role of Calypso, a character from the Twisted metal video game. He is described as “the mysterious and charismatic host and creator of a dangerous demolition derby tournament, inviting all assassins, vigilantes, mercenaries and scoundrels to participate.
“To the winner, she offers the prize of having his greatest wish granted, but with Calypso there is always a twist.”
This looks like another great role for Carrigan, who will next appear in A24 The death of a unicorn AND James Gunn’s imminent Superman film, where he will play Metamorpho.
They also join the cast Richard de Klerk (A teenage prophet, Strange Empire), Patty Guggenheim (She-Hulk: Lawyer, Florida Girls), AND Tiana Okay (Panhandle, Mrs. Davis) in recurring guest roles.
Twisted Metal is based on the popular PlayStation video games and the stars of the series Anthony Mackie as John Doe. Season one saw “the slack-jawed outsider offered the chance for a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland.
“With the help of a badass, axe-wielding car thief, take on savage raiders driving vehicles of destruction and other dangers of the open road, including a deranged clown driving an all-too-familiar ice cream truck.”
The cast also includes Stephanie Beatrice like Quiet, Joe Seanoa aka Samoa Joe as Sweet Tooth’s body, It will be Arnett like the voice of Sweet Tooth and Thomas Haden Church like Agent Stone.
Twisted metal It was developed by Dr. Rhett Reese AND Paul Wernickwho is an executive producer along with the showrunner Michael Jonathan Smith.
