True Detective: Night Country proved to be a huge success for HBO, and was the most-watched episode of the series. With the series having been such a success, a Season 5 was ordered and the showrunner Issa Lopez he was brought back to develop the following season.
The fans of Night country I wondered if the next installment in the series would continue that story or do something completely new and different.
According to López, season 5 will feature new characters and a completely new location. He said it’s “completely different.”
During an interview with Variety, he said: “In the writing, and it’s fantastic. It’s completely different. There are different characters, different settings, different story – and I’m having the time of my life.”
López obviously won’t share any story details just yet, but added, “I’m not going to tell you yet, not yet. But it’s a completely different adventure. Let’s put it that way.”
I’m curious to see what story the next season will tell and I imagine it will attract some great talent.
