New SUPERMAN set photos show off newspaper images of Superman in action

Some new images from the Cleveland set James GunnSuperman has hit the internet and features a couple of new images of David Corenswet in action as the Man of Steel.

The images of Superman were spotted in the Daily Planet newspaper and reveal Superman in a full costume standing in a classic Superman stance with his hands on his hips, unlike the first official photo where he is putting on his boots.

The second image of Superman shows the hero stopping a moving train. Photos of Superman wearing red shorts are also confirmed.

The text on the paper is difficult to make out, but some fans have noticed a couple of interesting Easter eggs, including a mention of Anton Arcane.

Superman will tell the story of “Superman’s journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent of Smallville, Kansas. He is the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way, guided by human kindness in a world that sees kindness as old-fashioned.”

Superman even stars Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane; Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor; Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern; Isabela Mercede as Hawkgirl; Edi Gathegi as Michael Holt/Mr. Terrific; Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen; María Gabriela de Faría in the role of Angela Spica, aka The Engineer; Sara Sampaio, in the role of Eva Teschmacher; AND Terence Rosemore as Otis.

Superman will launch the cinematic portion of DC Studios’ Gods and Monsters: Part 1. The theatrical release is scheduled for July 11, 2025.
