Marvel Comics has announced another What If…? Donald Duck comic, for the character’s 90th birthday. The comic will imagine Donald Duck as Thor! The comic is titled Marvel and Disney: what if…? Donald Duck has become Thor.
The comic is based on a plot by Steve Behling and will be written by Riccardo Secchi with art by Lorenzo Pastrovicchio. Here is the synopsis:
IS THIS CHICKEN WORTHY OF THOR’S HAMMER?!
When Donald Duck takes Huey, Dewey and Louie on an archaeological journey to search for ancient Viking artifacts, he finds more than he bargained for!
He comes across the Stone Ducks from Saturn preparing for an invasion. But everything changes when he discovers an enchanted staff that causes an extraordinary transformation, giving him the POWER OF THOR!
Can she learn how to use her new abilities in time to save Duckburg before going back? Find out in this shocking retelling of the thunderous origins of the mighty Thor!
Publisher Mark Paniccia shared in a statement: “When we saw the designs for the Stone Ducks of Saturn and The Destroyer we literally laughed out loud.
“I can honestly say I never thought I’d see something like this in my career. I have to pinch myself to make sure it’s not a dream.
