The next two THE BATMAN sequels will reportedly film back-to-back next year

A few months ago, Warner Bros. announced the release date of Matt Reeves’ Batman: Part II was delayed a full year and will now hit theaters on October 2, 2026.

We have a new report to share regarding the film’s production that points to the next two sequels The Batman will shoot back-to-back next year, in 2025.

This latest rumor was shared by Inside Scooper @MyTimeToShineH, and I hope that’s true. This would mean we won’t have to wait as long between sequels. While we wait for the next movie, though, we have The Penguin series to keep fans entertained.

It has also been reported that the sequel’s story will be at least partially based on Geoff Johns’ Batman: Earth One. The first film took some inspiration from vol. 1, so I assume that means the sequel would be more influenced by volumes 2 and 3.

Batman: Earth One is set in an alternate universe where Bruce Wayne is struggling to find his purpose as the protector of Gotham City. With the help of Alfred Pennyworth, a former SAS agent, Bruce embarks on his journey to face both familiar and new villains along the way.

The story explores Batman’s psychology as he seeks justice in Gotham. Hush is also said to be one of the big bads of the film.

Movie stars Robert Pattinson as Batman, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Andy Serkis like Alfredo, Jeffrey Wright like Jim Gordon, and Colin Farrell like Penguin.
