Here’s a trailer for a cheesy low budget WWII action thriller titled Murder Companywhich is based on true events.
The story is set in June 1944. “With the American invasion of Europe in the balance, Allied commanders issued a top-secret directive that would send six men behind enemy lines to assassinate a high-value Nazi target.
“A mixed unit of soldiers from the 82nd Airborne, made up of men from Easy, Able and Dog companies, was joined by a lone member of the French Resistance.
“Their mission was never officially recognized and there is no documentation that the unit ever existed. But those who were there gave it a name: Murder Company.
The film was directed by Shane Dax Taylor and stars William Moseley, Pooch Hall, Gilles Marini, Joe Anderson, AND Kelsey Grammer as General Haskel.
While I think it’s a great story and I like the title, telling that story wasn’t executed very well. Unfortunately, the movie doesn’t look that good.
Maverick & Complex will release Murder Company in select US theaters and on VOD on July 5, 2024.
