Famous martial arts director, stunt coordinator and performer, and action director Andy Cheng (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) was tapped to direct a feature adaptation of Shadow Ghostthe comic written and illustrated by kung fu master and founder of Fifth Ring Studios Sifu Kurtis Fujita, for Atchity Productions (The Meg franchising).
“Shadow Ghost is described as a modern and charming coming-of-age story about a young man who embarks on a quest to uncover the secrets surrounding an otherworldly martial arts hero. His journey into the realm of Kung Fu intertwines his destiny with that of the enigmatic legend where he will fulfill an age-old destiny.”
Throughout his career, Cheng has worked in stunt and/or action coordination for films such as Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, The fall of the Gods, Oz the Great and Powerful, Looper and The Amazing Spider-Man, among many others. As well as serving as a second unit director on films such as Dusk AND Little Red Riding Hooddirected the actors Red line AND End of the gameas well as Chinese films Yìlei zhi Liang sheng yao AND Yìlei zhi Xingzou de gu bao.
