Twice Oscar-nominated and Emmy-winning actor Richard Jenkins (Six feet under, The shape of water) joined the cast of CriminalPrime Video’s upcoming drama series based on the award-winning Eisner Award-winning graphic novel series by Ed Brubaker and artist Sean Phillips. Criminal is an interconnected universe of crime stories based on graphic novels.
Jenkins will play Ivan, Leo’s father’s best friend, who has always been an uncle figure to him. He was a thief and a criminal, but now suffers from dementia. Leo is trying to take care of him, but realizes that he requires more work than he can handle.
Brubaker, who wrote the pilot script, will host the TV series alongside crime author Jordan Harper (Hightown). Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden will direct the first four episodes.
