Katie Holmes (Dawson Creek, Woman In Gold), Toby Kebbell (War for the Planet of the Apes) and Oscar winner Al Pacino (The Irish) will be the protagonists of the thriller Fascinatedwhich the International Film Trust is launching for sale in Cannes.
The film is a new interpretation based on the true story of Calabrian mafia boss Saro (Kebbell and, in the present day, Pacino) who kidnaps the nephew of one of the richest men in the world, Jean Paul Getty, and endangers his entire organization when it falls. in love with the mother of his victim (Holmes) during the difficult negotiations for the ransom.
The producers are Michael Benaroya, Michael Mammoliti and Manasvi Mamgai. Mammoliti is the nephew of Saro Mammoliti, one of the main kidnappers, and has been working on a project based on the facts for years, also returning in 2017 to narrate a film All the money in the world. The events and motivations of the 1973 kidnapping have been much analyzed and disputed over the decades. Mammoliti’s recollection is that his uncle began to have amorous feelings towards the mother of his victim, Abigail Harris, and is now exploring this suggestion for the first time in Fascinated.
Joey Stanton and Nick de Graffenreid serve as executive producers. Principal photography will begin later this winter in Italy. Finger Montiel (Man down) directs from the screenplay he collaborated on Robin Shushan and Mammoliti.
