The “Silver Screen Tribute” variant of the poster was meticulously crafted using only metallic silver inks on pearlescent white paper, paying homage to the timeless appeal of cinema on the big screen. The special effects of 1933’s “King Kong” were primarily the work of the legendary Willis O’Brien, an acclaimed pioneer in the field of stop-motion animation. O’Brien’s work on “King Kong” transformed cinema’s special effects for decades to come, pioneering stop-motion animation, setting new standards of realism and creativity, and inspiring future filmmakers.
