Apple TV has released the trailer for Lily Gladstonethe next acclaimed drama Fantasy dance. The film originally premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival and critics say his performance is powerful, better than The assassins of the Flower Moon.
In the film, “Since the disappearance of his sister, Jax (Gladstone) has been taking care of his niece Roki (Isabel Deroy-Olson) advancing into the Seneca-Cayuga Reservation in Oklahoma.
“Every free minute is dedicated to searching for his missing sister and at the same time helping Roki prepare for an upcoming meeting. At the risk of Jax losing custody to Roki’s grandfather, Frank (Shea Whigham), the two hit the road and scour the backcountry to track down Roki’s mother in time for the powwow.
“What begins as research gradually transforms into an in-depth investigation into the complexities and contradictions of indigenous women navigating a colonized world while at the mercy of a failed justice system.”
Fantasy dance it is directed by a first-time director Erica Tremblay of the Seneca-Cayuga Nation and is making his directorial debut with the film.
The film is also the protagonist Ryan Begay AND Crystal lightningwith Audrey Wasilewski AND Shea Whigham. It is produced by Whitaker Forest.
Fantasy dance will be released in select theaters in the United States on June 21, 2024, then will stream on Apple TV+ starting June 28.
