Sigourney Weaver could join the Star Wars franchise! The fan-favorite actress is in talks to come on board to direct Jon Favreau’S The Mandalorian and Grogu movie!
There are no details on who she would play in the film, but it would be really cool if she ended up officially being cast in the film.
All we know about the film is that it will pick up later The Mandalorian Season 3. The Mandalorian and Grogu it could also be the start of a trilogy that will also include Dave Filoniis the untitled film that will bring together the entire New Republic saga.
Favreau previously shared a statement with the film’s announcement, saying, “I have loved telling stories set in the rich world George Lucas created. The prospect of bringing the Mandalorian and his apprentice Grogu to the big screen is extremely exciting.”
Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy and creative director Dave Filoni will produce The Mandalorian and Grogu. It will be the first Star Wars film to begin production since then Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker. The film will reportedly shoot this summer.
The Mandalorian and Grogu will be released on May 22, 2026.
