Franco Grillo joined the cast of James Gunn’S Pacifier Season 2, and will reprise his role as Rick Flag Sr., a character he will voice in the upcoming DC animated series Commando of creatures.
Gunn made the announcement in a social media post, saying:
“I’m pleased to announce that the great @frankgrillo1 will reprise his role as Rick Flag, Sr – the role he first played in animated form in Creature Commandos – throughout Season 2 of #Peacemaker. Christopher Smith and Rick Sr have a little unfinished business to take care of…”
We have heard that some characters of the Commando of creatures characters would make their live-action debut, and Grillo’s Rick Flag Sr. is obviously one of them. It will be funny!
Pacifier Season two was a priority for Gunn, and he explained why, saying, “Because it’s my favorite thing to do, it’s the biggest original Max show ever, and I have a way into it.”
The director went on to address the whole DCU news regarding the series, saying, “It won’t be confusing.”
There are no details on the Season 2 story, but Gunn teased his future plans for cameos, saying, “I think we’ll see more connections in some other things as we move forward with Peacemaker and other shows on HBO Max.
“So those [cameos] it will keep coming. I don’t know if the Justice League will appear in every season of Peacemaker; it could be a one-off thing. We will see!”
Pacifier stars John Cena and follows the wild and action-packed adventures of Peacemaker, a vainglorious man who believes in peace at any cost, no matter how many people he has to kill to achieve it.
The rest of the cast of the show includes Danielle Brooks, Jennifer Holland, Freddie Stroma, Chukwudi Iwuji, Steve AgeeAND Roberto Patrizio.
Gunn will direct some episodes of the show on weekends while he is filming Superman. There are also three other directors who will work on the show.
