BIG HERO 6 turns 10 this year and here’s why we haven’t seen a sequel yet

Great hero 6 celebrates its tenth anniversary this year and is a producer Roy Conli is explaining why the beloved Disney film hasn’t gotten a real sequel yet.

I loved that first movie and thought we were definitely going to see a sequel made! But Disney has yet to move forward with this, and we have no idea if they ever will.

In an interview with ScreenRant to promote his latest project, a Disneynature documentary titled TigerConli explained that a Great hero 6 the sequel would not have been made without the involvement of Don Salawith whom he co-directed the first film Chris Williams.

Conli said, “You know, this year we’re celebrating the 10th anniversary of Big Hero 6. It’s interesting because it’s really up to Don if he wants to make a sequel.

He added: “It was Don’s concept and idea. I always secretly urge him to do so, but we’ll see. He loves working on a new property. So we’ll see what happens.”

Great hero 6 is loosely based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name created by Man of action. Set in the fictional city of San Fransokyo, the animated film follows robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada as he assembles a team of superheroes to defeat the masked villain responsible for the death of his brother Tadashi.

Two spin-off shows followed the film, including Great hero 6set immediately after the events of the 2014 film, using 2D digital animation to continue the story of Hiro and his superhero team.

The show was pretty good and ran for three seasons and 56 episodes on Disney XD/Disney Channel from 2017-2021.

The second spin-off series was Baymax!, a six-episode series that follows Baymax as he helps people in the city of San Fransokyo. I never watch it.

I would love to see another big screen adventure with these characters, but we’ll just have to wait and see if Hall has another story he’d like to tell with these characters.

Would you like to see a Great hero 6 Continuation?
