The creator of BABY REINDEER is developing a new series for the BBC called LIONS

I don’t know if you’ve seen the Netflix stalker drama Little reindeer yet, but it’s a great show! It’s a fascinating story that has so many layers, and it’s such a well-made yet heartbreaking show.

Little reindeer was created by Riccardo Gaddand has another series in development at the BBC titled Lionswhich also looks interesting.

The BBC revealed the news that Gadd wrote and created the show, which is set and filmed in and around Glasgow, Scotland.

In Lions“When Niall’s ‘brother’ Ruben shows up at his wedding, an explosion of violence erupts that throws us back through their lives.

” Spanning nearly forty years, from the 1980s to the present, this ambitious series will cover the highs and lows of the brothers’ relationship, from their meeting as teenagers to their falling out as adults – with all the good, the bad, the terrible, the funny, angry and thought-provoking moments along the way.

“He will capture the wild energy of a changing city – even a changing world – and try to get to the bottom of the difficult question… What does it mean to be a man?”

Gadd said in a statement: “When I started talking about this project with the wonderful Tally Garner and Morven Reid, it was love at first sight. For them, at least. He added: “It’s a dream come true to be part of such a historic broadcaster with a reputation for bringing the best comedy and drama (and comedy-drama for that matter) to our screens. A dream that will likely fade away when it comes to tight writing deadlines and rainy days filming on the streets of Glasgow. Just kidding.

He continued: “I have never been happier to work on anything in my life and I would like to thank Tally, Morven and Gaynor for everything, as well as the inimitable Lindsay Salt who has always been my biggest champion and to whom I always have a great debt of gratitude.”

Tally Garnerexecutive producer for Mam Tor Productions, says: “My fellow executive Morven Reid and I are incredibly excited to embark on the journey to make the extraordinarily talented Richard Gadd’s new show.
